Ingredients
1 Chana dal 1 cup
2 Onion , finely chopped 1/ 2 cup
3 Green coriander, finely chopped 1/2 cup
4 Green chilies , finely chopped 4
5 Soya leaves 1/2 cup
6 Cumin or jeera 1/2 teaspoon
7 Salt to taste
8 Oil for frying
Method
Soak the chana dal for 5 hours. Grind it with texture [not paste] In a bowl mix chana dal with all the other ingredients, together with 1 tablespoon of oil. Make patties of it and fry in hot oil until golden brown.

Introduction of the dish
This is the most famous street food of Southern India. You can also make it with moong dal.
