Urad dal |

Saffron [or food colouring] |

Green cardamom powder |
1/2 teaspoon |

| Method |
Soak the urad dal overnight and grind it with minimum water added. Now
add food colouring to it and whisk it until fluffy. Set it aside for 5 hours.
Now make simple syrup by adding sugar and water in a pan over
medium heat. Add green cardamom powder to it. Now take dal batter in
imarti bottle or piping bag. Now make imarti in ghee over medium heat
and fry until light brown. Now add the imarti in sugar syrup for 5 minutes.
Serve hot.

Imarti is like jalebi, but instead of gram flour (besan); it is made from urad dal.
