| Method |
|
Heat oil in a pan or kadahi over medium-high heat, add cumin seeds and let it splutter, now add onions, garlic and ginger and fry until light brown. Now add tomatoes and green chilies and cook until tomatoes become tender. Add all the powdered spices with 1/2 cup of water, stir and cook until oil comes out on the surface. Now add peas and potatoes, stir well to coat all over and fry for 5-7 minutes, now add 2-3 cups of water, bring to a boil and cook over low heat until gravy becomes thick. Garnish it with chopped coriander and serve.

This is a very simple recipe. You can also make it for vrat; just skip off onions and garlic.
