1+1/2 tablespoons |

| Method |

Peel the karelas and make a fine slit [cut] lengthwise. Rub the salt
all over and set aside for 3 hours. afterwards wash it nice and steam
it or boil it. Take it out and drain. Now heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan,
add onion paste and cook for 5 mins now add ginger - garlic paste and
all the masala powder and cook until oil comes out. Stuff karela with
masala and cook either in oven or in pan [with 1 teaspoon of oil] for
10 mins.

Karela , also known as bitter gourd, is bitter in taste. When you peel it, rub it with salt and set aside, some of the bitterness
is removed with the out coming water. |
