Ingredients
1 Urad dal 1 cup
2 Salt 1/2 teaspoon
3 Black pepper powder 1/2 teaspoon
4 Green chilies, finely chopped 3
5 Curry leaves, chopped 6
6 Oil for frying
Method
Soak dal in water for at least 3 hours, drain and grind well to smooth paste. Now add all the ingredients into dal, stir well and set aside for 4 hours. Now make small ball from the mixture at a time, make hole in the centre with your thumb, and deep fry in hot oil until golden-brown.
Servings -6-8
Introduction of the dish
Medhu vada is like North-indian dal pakora with hole in the centre. Pair it up with idli and sambar, and it makes a wonderful breakfast any time.
