Semolina [sooji] |

Rice flour or plain all-purpose flour [maida] |

Buttermilk |

Baking soda |

Green chilies, finely chopped |

Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped |

Peas, boiled and crushed |

| Method |
|
Combine all the ingredients together in a large bowl, with water if needed.
Set aside for 4 hours. Heat the griddle [tava] over medium-high heat, grease
the griddle either with cotton or cloth, pour a ladle full of the batter on the hot
griddle, spread immediately, add little bit oil and cook on both the sides until
light brown and crisp. Serve.

Rava, also known as semolina, is also used to make sweet dishes such as halwa or laddoo.
You can serve this dish either for breakfast or in lunch or
even during dinner. You can use curd in place of buttermilk.
