Urad dal |

| Method |
Soak rice and urad dal separately in water overnight. Drain and blend in food
pocessor to a smooth paste. Mix dal and rice well and set it in warm place
for at least 6 hours.
Grease the idli moulds, add batter, put it in steamer and cook for 15-20
minutes. serve.

This is the common people food. To check whether idlis are
cooked or not; insert the knife in the centre of idli, if it comes out clean, it
means the idli is cooked.
