Palak [Spinach] Rice

Ingredients
1 Basmati rice, cooked 2 cups
2 Spinach, blanched and pureed 1 bunch
3 Onion, thinly sliced 1
4 Cumin seeds 1/4 teaspoon
5 Ginger-garlic paste 1/2 teaspoon
6 Turmeric powder a pinch
7 Red chili powder 1/2 teaspoon
8 Garam masala 1/4 teaspoon
9 Salt to taste
10 Oil or ghee 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
Method
Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds and let it splutter, now add onions and fry until light brown. Now add ginger-garlic paste and cook for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder, chili powder and salt, stir, now add spinach puree and cook until thickens. Add rice and toss to coat well with the spinach. Add garam masala, stir and serve.

Introduction of the dish
Blanching means to boil in water for 5 minutes, drain and use. Spinach is full of vitamins and iron, so it is the great way to feed your family with spinach.
