Black cardamom, slightly crushed |

Mixed dry fruits (cashews, almonds, raisins), chopped |

Oil or ghee |
1 +1/2 tablespoons |

| Method |
|
Heat oil or ghee in a pan, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cloves, peppercorns, cinnamon and cardamoms and let them splutter, add dry fruits and fry for 1 minute. Now add rice and toast it for 5-6 minutes, add 3 cups of water,, bring to a boil, cover and cook over low heat until almost all the water is absorbed. Turn off the flame and let it set for at least 10-15 minutes. Serve.
