Masala Chops

Ingredients
1 Mutton or lamb chops 6-8
2 Onions, finely chopped 3
3 Ginger, peeled & finely chopped 1 + 1/2 teaspoons
4 Garlic, peeled & finely chopped 7-8 cloves
5 Tomatoes, finely chopped 4
6 Curd or yogurt, beaten 1 cup
7 Cayenne or red chili powder 1 tablespoon
8 Roasted cumin seeds, powdered 1 teaspoon
9 Garam masala 1 teaspoon
10 Salt to taste
11 Lemon juice 2 tablespoons
12 Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 3 tablespoons
Method
Put the chops, onions, tomatoes, curd, red chili powder, salt, ginger and garlic in a large heavy-bottomed pan stir well and bring to a boil. Now turn the heat to low, cover and cook for 40-50 minutes, until the chops are almost cooked.
Now add cumin powder, stir and cook over low heat for further 15-20 minutes, until the chops becomes tender and gravy becomes thick. Now add garam masala, lemon juice and coriander leaves, stir and serve.

This is the low calorie version of same old delicious chops. It requires no oil or fat during cooking.
