Ingredients

| For dough- |

| For stuffing- |

Moong dal |
1 cup |

Cumin seeds |
1/4 teaspoon |

Asafetida [heeng] |
a pinch |

Chat masala |
1 teaspoon |

Fresh coriander leaves, chopped |

Oil or ghee |
2 tablespoons |

| Method |
Wash the moong dal well and soak in water for atleast 30 minutes.
Combine all the ingredients of dough to knead to a soft dough, cover and set
aside.
Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add cumin and heeng
and let it splutter. Drain the dal and add to the pan together with salt and 1/2
cup of water, stir and cook until cooked through but not mashed. Add chopped
coriander and chaat masala and set aside to cool.
Make several small balls out of the dough, take a ball, roll it slightly, add 1
tablespoon of stuffing, close it well, roll it again into parantha. Heat the griddle
[tava] over medium-high heat, and cook the parantha by spreading oil on both
the surface, repeat this process with the remaining dough and stuffing and serve.
