| Method |

Wash dal well, transfer into the pressure cooker with lauki, turmeric powder,
red chili powder, salt and 3 cups of water, cover and cook for 3-4 whistles.
Let it open. Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat, add cumin seeds and
red chilies and let it splutter, now add onions, ginger, garlic, green chilies and
asafetida and cook until lightly browned. Pour this tadka over dal, add ghee
and coriander, stir and serve.
