| Method |
Wash and soak all dals in water for at least 4 hours. Drain and transfer to the
pressure cooker , add salt and enough water and cook for 6 whistles. Let it
open. If it is still tough then cook for some more minutes.
heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and whole red chili and let it splutter, now
add ginger, garlic and onions and cook until light brown. Add tomatoes, red
chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasoori methi and 1/2 cup of
water and cook over medium-low heat until oil comes out on the surface.
Now add cooked dals, stir, and cook for few minutes. Add butter and
chopped coriander and serve.

Dal makhani is delicacy from punjab filled with rich proteins and fiber.Black lentils and red kidney beans
are simmered in a creamy sauce of butter, onions, tomatoes, ginger-garlic and spices and liberally garnished
with cream. Very Tasty!!
