Ingredients
1 Chicken , cleaned and cut into small pieces 500 grams
2 Onions , finely chopped 4
3 Ginger - garlic paste 1 + 1/2 tablespoons
4 Cinnamon 2 sticks
5 Cashew - almond paste a handful ground smoothly
6 Tomatoes, puree it in blender 2
7 Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon
8 Chili powder 2 teaspoons
9 Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
10 Salt to taste
11 Butter 3 teaspoons
12 Oil 3 tablespoons
13 Fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped 2 tablespoons
Method
Heat oil in a pan, add onions and fry till light brown. Now add cinnamon stick and stir. Then add ginger - garlic paste and cook for another 2 mins. Now add all the powdered spices, tomato puree and cashew - almond paste with water, bring to a boil and cook until oil comes out. Now add chicken, colour and sufficient amount of water, bring to a boil, cover it and cook until soft and gravy is thick. Add butter, garnish it with green coriander and serve hot with roti or rice.
