Tips and Tricks For Low-Calorie Cooking
Always use fat-free vegetable broth, instead of regular chicken or beef broth.
Freeze the broth in ice-cube trays and whenever you need to add moisture to a dish, add a cube of broth instead of extra oil.
Remove the skin and fat from all meats before cooking and use a marinade to keep the meat tender.
Replace half of the fat with pureed fruits in your favorite baking recipes. Apple sauce and fresh mango puree are good examples.
One-quarter of puree can also be substituted for one egg.
Use your charcoal grill year around. A cast iron grill pan is also a good choice.
Grilling is fast, easy and require less fat. Smoking provides fat-free seasonings as well.

Use water-packed tuna, instead of oil-packed.

Use unsweetened canned fruits or fruit canned in its own juices.
