Ingredients
1 Chinese cabbage, shredded 1
2 Peanut oil 1+ 1/2 tablespoons
3 Cooked rice 1 cup
4 Warm chicken broth or chicken stock 6 cups
5 Fresh ginger, finely grated 1 teaspoon
6 Garlic, crushed 2 cloves
7 Chinese wine or dry sherry 2 tablespoons
8 Sesame oil 1 teaspoon
9 Green onions, finely chopped 3
10 Salt to taste
11 Black pepper powder to taste
Method
Heat oil in a pan over high heat, add ginger and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Now add stock and cooked rice and simmer for 30 minutes, until the rice becomes very soft. Add cabbage and green onions and simmer for 7 minutes, bring to a boil, cook for 5 minutes. Now add wine and sesame oil, stir and serve.
